Alabama coach Nick Saban is unquestionably the best head coach in college football. And according to The Athletic, he also has the best job in the sport.
USC’s surprising Week 2 firing of coach Clay Helton sparked some debate among media pundits about where the Trojans job ranks among the nation’s elite.
That led The Athletic to try to settle the debate by polling more than 100 people who work in the college football world to come to some sort of a consensus.
That included coaches and administrators weighing in. Ya know, the people who would actually know.
Alabama was a slam-dunk No. 1 job in college football according to their poll.
Other SEC jobs that received recognition include Georgia (No.3), LSU (No. 5), Florida (No. 10) and Texas A&M (No. 12). Future SEC teams Texas (No. 4) and Oklahoma (No. 8) were also mentioned.
Personally, I believe that Florida is too low at #10. The job in Gainesville can be one of the very best in the nation.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, USC checked in at No. 6 on this list.
