The 2022 SEC football schedule kicks off on August 27.

Vanderbilt will open the 2022 football season with a trip to Hawaii to play the Rainbow Warriors. The rest of the SEC teams will open their seasons on the first weekend of September.

Some exciting games to open the season include the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs playing the Oregon Ducks and the LSU Tigers playing the Florida State Seminoles.

Each SEC team plays 12 regular season games. This includes 8 conference games against SEC opponents.

The SEC football regular season will conclude on Dec. 3 with the 2022 SEC football championship game, which will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The winner of the SEC East will face off against the winner of the SEC West.

In 2021, Alabama beat Georgia in the SEC championship game. But the Bulldogs got the best of the Crimson Tide with a rematch victory in the College Football Playoff national championship game.

The Crimson Tide opens its season on Sept. 3 against Utah State. Alabama’s first conference game is Sept. 24 against Vanderbilt.
