The Masters golf tournament is a Southern spring tradition. And in 2022, all eyes will be on several former SEC golfers in the major tournament field.
When the 91-player field tees off at Augusta National Golf Club on April 7, 2022, you may recognize some names from the SEC golf circuit.
In total, we count 13 golfers with SEC ties that will be playing in the PGA major in Georgia. The University of Georgia has the most representation, with seven golfers having spent time on the Bulldogs golf team in Athens.
And we didn’t even count star golfers Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler, who both played for future SEC member Texas when they were in college.
We’ve compiled a list of each golfer competing at The Masters who starred at one of the conference’s 14 schools as an amateur.
Let’s hope one of them brings home the Green Jacket this year!
